About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Ecologist to join our team in Haywards Heath or Portsmouth. As part of an award-winning team, you'll work on diverse projects, including habitat creation, river restoration, flood risk management, and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical expertise, guidance, and review of ecological surveys, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  2. Manage projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
  3. Undertake habitat and species surveys and deliver high-quality reports, including PEAs, EcIAs, and HRAs.
  4. Collaborate with clients, manage relationships, and contribute to business development through networking and tender preparation.
Requirements
  1. BSc and/or MSc in Ecology or a related field.
  2. Extensive experience in ecological consultancy, with strong knowledge of wildlife and conservation legislation, including Habitats Regulations.
  3. Excellent ecological field skills, project management experience, and business development acumen.
  4. Full UK driving licence.
