Senior Nurse in Paediatric Intensive Care

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Paediatric Intensive Care Unit Senior Nurse to join our team at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our PICU team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading and managing a team of nurses, and contributing to the development of our unit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert nursing care to critically ill children, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Lead and manage a team of nurses, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver excellent care.
- Contribute to the development of our PICU, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and staff experience.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Participate in education and training programs to maintain and develop your skills and knowledge, as well as those of your team.
- Current registration with the NMC as a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit Senior Nurse.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Paediatric Intensive Care, with at least 6 months in a leadership or management role.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care and leading a team to achieve excellent outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities and situations.
