  • Provide Customer Advice: Offer expert advice to patients on lens type, frames, and styling to ensure that they receive the best possible solution for their eye care needs.
  • Fit Contact Lenses: With further training, fit contact lenses and provide advice on their care and use to our patients.
  • Take Frame and Facial Measurements: Take accurate frame and facial measurements to ensure that our patients receive the correct fit and positioning of their glasses.
  • Advise on Low Vision Aids: Advise partially sighted patients on the use of low vision aids to help them navigate their daily lives.
  • Manage Optical Products: Select, manage, and order a range of optical products to ensure that our patients have access to the latest and greatest in eye care technology.
  • Supervise and Train: Supervise and train trainee dispensing opticians to ensure that they receive the best possible training and support.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and Manage Staff: Recruit and manage staff to ensure that our team is well-equipped to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Manage Practice Operations: Undertake the day-to-day management of the practice, including managing stock levels, planning and administering business development, and maintaining accurate patient and business records.
  • Meet Sales Targets: Take responsibility for meeting sales targets and ensuring that our patients receive the best possible value for their money.
