We are seeking ambitious individuals to join our team as a Service & Maintenance Technician. As one of the leading Lexus dealerships in the UK, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity allows you to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced automotive environment. You will be part of a comprehensive training program that includes both theoretical and practical components.
Key Responsibilities- Participate fully in all scheduled activities, including training at the Toyota/Lexus Academy and ProVQ Training Centre;
- Keep all learning activities up to date and ensure you are prepared for learner reviews with your Manager, Mentor & Learning & Development Advisor;
- Carry out foundation tasks common to all service and repair procedures;
- Contribute to a safe and efficient workshop environment;
- Access information such as wiring diagrams, technical data, and vehicle repair information;
- Use complex diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical measuring equipment;
- Inspect and prepare vehicles to high quality industry standards;
- Remove, repair/replacing components to manufacturer's specification;
- Investigate vehicle faults and identify their underlying causes;
- Apply advanced diagnostic principles, and logical problem-solving techniques, using diagnostic tools, and standard testing regimes to identify mechanical and electrical faults;
- Get involved with all activities that raise the profile of the dealership, such as those in the community promoting the Lexus brand and attracting new customers.
- Eligibility to work in the UK;
- GCSE Maths & English, and IT skills (desirable).
You will earn as you learn, with a competitive annual salary from Day 1. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will gain the Apprenticeship Standard Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) Level 3 qualification. Additionally, you will receive a competitive benefits package and performance-related bonuses upon graduation.
