Senior Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

AA Euro Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in London. As a key member of our client's team, you will be responsible for managing budgets, preparing estimates, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with the Surveying Director, Project Director, and Project Manager to ensure effective communication and project progress.
  • Collaborate with the Design Team to ensure project requirements and specifications are met.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with client representatives to support project activities and maintain positive relations.
  • Attend regular site meetings and communicate effectively to keep the Surveying Director informed on project development status.
  • Review tender enquiries and tender analysis for projects, and estimate and tender for projects in conjunction with Head Office Quantity Surveying Staff.
  • Negotiate new projects and fixed price premiums that are cost-effective.
  • Organize and chair pre-award meetings with new sub-contractors in conjunction with the Construction Team.
  • Process fortnightly/monthly sub-contractor payment certificates and compile the variation log.
  • Issue interim payment applications and correlate payments received.
  • Prepare final account preparations at the end of the project.
  • Monitor costs and report using construction computer software and attend monthly cost reporting meetings.
  • Forecast cash flow for projects and issue monthly reports to accounts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry changes and competitive environment.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience with a proven track record in dealing with subcontractors and clients.
  • Thorough understanding of specifications, bills of quantities, and drawings.
  • Strong expertise in extracting quantities from drawings and issuing enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office and other Quantity Surveying Packages.
  • Proven track record in Commercial/Residential Projects.
  • Self-starter with ability to organize workday around assigned activities and priorities with minimum supervision.
  • Flexible with a high-level commitment to success.
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team with a wide variety of individuals.
