We are seeking an experienced trauma counsellor to join our team at Phoenix Futures, a leading provider of drug and alcohol treatment.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with individuals who have experienced trauma and addiction, and will be able to provide a safe and supportive environment for our clients to recover.
The role involves providing one-to-one counselling and group work, as well as assessing and creating care plans for individuals. The post holder must be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and utilise evidence-based practices to support client recovery.
Salary: £26,750 per annum (plus potential yearly increments subject to appraisal)
About the Role:
- Provide support for individuals recovering from drug or alcohol misuse through 1:1 counselling and group work.
- Carry out strength-based assessments and create care plans to promote visible recovery.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver effective treatment and support.
- Supervise academic placements to ensure trainees acquire necessary skills and competencies.
About You:
- You should be a qualified counsellor with accreditation.
- You should have good office IT skills and experience working in the substance misuse field.
- You should be experienced in managing a caseload, engaging in partnership working, and delivering CBT-based interventions.
