Mechanical Design Engineer - Exciting Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Automation Experts Ltd. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical systems and plant, ensuring they meet the required technical and legislative standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and plant, including concept design, detailed design, and testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets technical and legislative requirements
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure design meets quality and safety standards
  • Identify and implement opportunities for design improvement and cost reduction

Requirements:

  • Hold a HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Have proven experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in a regulated industry
  • Be conversant with British and European technical and legislative standards
  • Have experience with design software, including Inventor or other 3D design packages
