Visual Effects Specialist

As a Technical Artist at World Makers, you will be responsible for developing and implementing pipelines, materials, visual effects, and optimisations that support the creation of high-quality game worlds.
Key Responsibilities- Developing and maintaining tools and scripts to streamline the creation and implementation of art assets, animations, and visual effects.
- Collaborating with the art, design, and engineering teams to ensure that all elements of the game are delivered to the highest standard.
- Providing expert guidance and support to junior team members, and contributing to the growth and development of the team.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in art and technology, and identifying opportunities for improving the visual quality and performance of our games.
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in the video game industry.
- Proficiency in industry-standard game art tools (Houdini, Substance, Blender, Maya).
- Strong understanding of Unreal Engine and the art creation process, including modelling, texturing, lighting, and particle effects.
- Proficiency programming in C++ and common shader programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently on assigned tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.Compensation
- A competitive salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
