Job Summary

The University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our Community Heart Failure Team as an Administrator. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the clinical team, ensuring the smooth operation of our Heart Failure clinics, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the clinical team, including making and amending appointments, answering general queries, and taking messages for the clinical team.
  • Manage referrals, create and send appointment letters, and input and record information onto our electronic patient record system.
  • Support the collection of service performance data and contribute to the development of the service.
  • Provide a warm, friendly, and helpful manner to patients, carers, relatives, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a secretarial/administrative role.
  • Experience of using NHS patient records and data systems.
  • Evidence of relevant secretarial/IT training.
  • Evidence of customer service prior experience.
  • Previous NHS experience in a similar role.
