EMEA Insights Manager Role

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ROLE

  • As our EMEA Insights Manager for Flavour Innovation, you will lead the innovation pipeline for Flavour Solutions EMEA through actionable Consumer & Category insights, delivering sustainable and iconic NPDs across Quick-Service-Restaurants and Savoury Snacks customers.
  • You will lead data analytics for Food and Beverage categories to guide the development of business growth strategy for EMEA Flavour Solutions, incorporating published market data, research agency briefs, and gathering insights on market assessment, value/volume proposition, listing arguments, competitive positioning, social listening, and more.
  • Developing the ability to interpret data into actionable insights, you will model complex datasets from various resources, telling inspiring stories with compelling insights. As a centre of excellence in communicating in-depth critical market trend analysis, you will proactively research and analyse F&B, Flavours, and ingredients trends to drive business direction and growth.
  • You will lead insights sections of customer-facing meetings across EMEA, providing critical market insights to influence customers through an in-depth understanding of customers, consumers, and brands.
  • Enhance our B2B communication plan to reinforce McCormick's capability and attract new business using various tools like Trade Press, Trade Shows, Digital tools, and more.
  • Own and manage the creative toolbox, leveraging and supporting flavour innovation, reviewing category trends, delivering recommendations, conducting white space analysis to identify flavour opportunities, and facilitating workshops for internal and external customers.
  • Manage daily activities of assigned projects, identify resource requirements, review deliverables prior to presentation to the customer, and apply our capabilities with maximum cost-effectiveness and highest return on investment.
  • Drive, own, and present quarterly market data/insights reviews across all areas of the business for internal and external customers to strengthen partnerships.
  • Lead and develop the strategic direction for M&I insights function, including identification of key projects to meet business LTP needs, insight budgets recommendation, agency selection, and contract management.
  • Manage a team of 2, a Marketing and Insights manager, and a Foodservice Brand Manager.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant working experience in regional (EMEA) Insights/market research/research agency with frequent contacts with marketing/innovation and NPD, including proven experience in all research disciplines: qualitative, quantitative, and continuous data interpretation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of marketing and NPD with experience in international businesses.
  • Deep understanding of Custom Food & Beverage Manufacturers and Foodservice Businesses/Quick Service Restaurants and their markets, trends, and consumer drivers.
  • Knowledge of multiple market data source providers and research agencies.
  • Requires creative problem-solving in a dynamic environment of multiple customers with very different needs and operating models.
  • Requires high-level strategic thinking with the ability to influence commercial and NPD.
  • Strong communications skills are critical to this role, involving multiple internal and external presentations.
  • Ability to present in an engaging way and decipher complex data is vital.
  • Must have proven skills to adapt to and communicate with a wide variety of personalities in different business settings.
  • Strong customer management skills.
