About the Role

As a Mechanical Engineer with G4S Care and Rehabilitation Services, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and effective environment across the prison estate. You will operate within planned maintenance procedures for assets effectively and safely within your range of qualifications, levels of competence, training and experience.

You will become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for your field of expertise and any other disciplines as part of the overall management of the estate tasked by the Head of FM. This includes dealing effectively and safely with breakdowns and damage to assets within your range of qualifications, levels of competence, training and experience as required and providing out of hours response where necessary.

Key responsibilities include writing maintenance reports and technical procedures for building maintenance and project activities, assisting in the development and acting as mentor for other maintenance/technical staff involved in site maintenance activities.

About the Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer who is dedicated to providing a high quality service. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and communication skills, have an understanding of an FM maintenance environment and will be fully qualified within a mechanical engineer discipline.
