Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume key carer responsibilities for designated children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
  • Prepare and support children's activities, promoting a stimulating and engaging environment that fosters their development.
  • Contribute to ensuring that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Support and mentor students and un-qualified staff to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare practice.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain effective day-to-day management of the environment, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or above in early years qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including split shifts and part-time hours.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality childcare and education, with a focus on meeting the needs of our children and families.
