We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Devon County Council. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to our young children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume key carer responsibilities for designated children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
- Prepare and support children's activities, promoting a stimulating and engaging environment that fosters their development.
- Contribute to ensuring that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Support and mentor students and un-qualified staff to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare practice.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain effective day-to-day management of the environment, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Level 2 or above in early years qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work flexibly, including split shifts and part-time hours.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality childcare and education, with a focus on meeting the needs of our children and families.
