Global Key Account Strategist

The Global Key Account Strategist is responsible for enabling one of SMA's largest existing or potential customers to develop their global pipeline of solar, storage, and hydrogen projects with SMA equipment and service. This individual perfectly understands the various stakeholders within the account, their decision-making process, and is able to influence this decision towards SMA and establish a contractual framework agreement for direct or indirect procurement to secure long-term business for SMA.

Responsibilities
• Lead the global key account team
• Identify, engage, and secure relationships with key decision-makers within customers' organizations
• Understand and influence customers' decision-making processes
• Work closely with internal stakeholders (globally) to ensure smooth sales process flow
• Understand customers' needs and requirements for projects
• Review customer specifications and tenders, work with the team to provide appropriate responses
• Develop and maintain excellent knowledge of the SMA product range and its applications
• Facilitate relationships over the entire lifecycle of customers' assets
• Manage global profitability of the account
• Manage project pipelines and sales processes through Salesforce
Requirements
Estimated Salary: €120,000 - €180,000 per year, depending on experience
Technical qualifications or degrees in relevant disciplines (e.g., electrical engineering, commerce)
8+ years of sales, development, or business development experience in the project space
Experience in the renewable industry is strongly preferable
Fluency in multiple languages
