Valuation/Associate Director

Job Summary:

CBRE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Valuation/Associate Director to join our Data Centre Solutions team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-value valuation and strategic advisory services to a wide range of investors, lenders, operators, and owner-occupiers within the data centre and digital infrastructure space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide valuation advice on data centres and digital infrastructure assets across the UK, Europe, and globally to lenders, investors, owner-occupiers, and operators.
  • Work closely with the CBRE Data Centre Solutions team to manage workload and team operations, including liaising with clients and managing individual instructions.
  • Undertake discounted cash flows, investment valuations, and development appraisals for a mixture of accounting, loan security, general advisory, and acquisition purposes.
  • Provide a range of advice to clients, including detailed valuation reports and attending client meetings to discuss, justify, and rationalise the advice provided.
  • Oversee work carried out by junior colleagues within the team and help develop their careers.
Requirements:
  • Preferred membership of the RICS with at least 2 years post-qualified experience, preferably in the non-traditional or operational real estate sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of valuation concepts and methodology, including the investment approach but focused on cash flow modelling.
  • High levels of IT literacy required, particularly with respect to Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Financial analysis, including IRR and return threshold benchmarking, referencing, and analysing a diverse range of observable market inputs.
  • Logical thought process and ability to analyse large quantities of data effectively.
  • Accurate and with exceptional attention to detail, both when writing valuation reports and reviewing due diligence.
  • Self-motivated and enjoys working in a new and challenging sector with demanding clients.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and willing to take on a level of personal responsibility and autonomy.
  • Personable and with excellent communication skills, enabling the development of good relationships with both clients and colleagues.
