About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible individual to support the front-line delivery of our education programme at the STEM Discovery Centre in Stevenage.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality hands-on STEM education activities to students aged 7-17 years. You will also present dynamic demonstrations and deliver exciting activities to school children and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the STEM Discovery Centre team to prepare and deliver high-quality hands-on STEM education activities to students aged 7-17 years.
  • Present dynamic demonstrations and deliver exciting activities to school children and visitors.
  • Provide excellent quality customer service to learners, students, schools, teachers, and sponsors.
  • Support and help develop delivery of new revenue-generating activities in addition to our core education offer.
  • Provide support for the team administrator on the effective operation of STEM Discovery Centre.

Requirements

  • An enthusiasm for working with young people and confidence at leading education activities and demonstrations.
  • Experience of delivering programmes to young people, for example, coaching and/or mentoring, formal and informal education activities.
  • A customer-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven organisational skills and be relied on to work under your own initiative.
  • Good IT skills, GCSE A* to C or equivalent in maths and English.
