Pharaoh Capital - AWS SecOps Consultant Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS SecOps consultant with a strong background in AWS security operations to join our client, Pharaoh Capital, who are a global consultancy.

This position is ideal for individuals with 5+ years of experience in AWS security operations or a related field and possess in-depth knowledge of AWS security best practices and services.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures for AWS environments. They will also monitor and respond to security incidents using AWS security tools such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, and CloudTrail for threat detection and response.

Additionally, they will conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans, collaborating with teams to remediate findings. The successful candidate will automate security processes and workflows using tools like AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, and Terraform.

They will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS, and work with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle (DevSecOps). Providing security training and awareness programs for staff is also an essential aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures for AWS environments.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents using AWS security tools.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
  • Automate security processes and workflows using AWS tools.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 5+ years of experience in AWS security operations or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS security best practices and services.
  • Experience with security monitoring and incident response tools.
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and regulations.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting using AWS tools.

This is a contract position with up to 6 months duration and £350 per day inside IR35. We require candidates with active SC Cleared security clearance that has not lapsed due to client requirements.
