This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Credit Controller to join a reputable organisation in a fixed-term contract basis for 12 months to cover a maternity leave. The role is office-based and requires effective management of credit limits, timely collection of customer payments, and reconciliation of customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective management of credit limits
  • Responsible for timely collection of customer payments
  • Investigate held orders that require manual release
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts
  • Keeping accurate history notes on customer's accounts
  • Liaising with internal and external customers
  • Query resolution
  • Cover with allocation of payments during holidays / sickness
  • Review new accounts set up by Sales
  • Inform the Credit Manager of any potential Bad Debt
  • Cover the Credit Manager in their absence

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Credit Control processes and reporting
  • Experience with accounting systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
  • Willingness to phone and speak directly to customers
  • Ability to work under own initiative and be proactive
  • To be able to build effective working relationships at all levels
  • Be immediately available/on short notice
