Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs in a variety of settings, including nurseries, primary, secondary, and special schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN in a range of educational settings
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Providing one-to-one support to pupils with complex needs
  • Collaborating with teachers, other support staff, and parents to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Keeping accurate records of pupil progress and attendance

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils with SEN
  • Good knowledge of support programmes for SEND
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability
