We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join our dynamic team at Kenton Black Construction. As a Freelance Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. You will coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel, ensuring project milestones are met in line with the programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel
  • Ensure project milestones are met in line with the programme
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations
  • Report progress, budget, and any issues to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders
  • Liaise with local residents and authorities to minimize disruption and manage expectations
  • Resolve any site issues promptly to keep the project on track

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on civils projects, preferably within the water sector
  • Strong knowledge of segmental shaft construction and open-cut sewer techniques
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of workers and subcontractors
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships
