Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Manager to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our Global Workplace Solutions team, you will be responsible for developing and executing energy management and sustainability strategies for our clients' real estate portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Energy Management Strategies: Create and implement energy management plans to achieve cost savings and reduce carbon emissions.
  • Implement Energy Efficiency Programs: Design and execute programs to achieve energy savings goals and targets by specified timelines.
  • Manage Energy Benchmarking and Assessment: Analyze energy and water consumption metrics to identify opportunities and create plans to sustain energy savings.
  • Lead Energy Capital Projects: Identify and prioritize energy capital projects, operational changes, and physical plant upgrades to reduce energy consumption.
  • Establish Utilities Budgets: Oversee bill payment and data management processes, and provide forecasts of utility expenses throughout the portfolio.
  • Develop Financial Viability of Projects: Evaluate the financial viability of projects for budgeting and approval.
  • Report Energy Metrics: Provide clear and concise metrics on various energy and sustainability activities, including cost savings, CO2, and water usage.
  • Communicate Plans and Progress: Present plans and progress to all levels of staff through presentations and meetings.
  • Support Sustainability Initiatives: Support water saving programs and recycling programs as requested.
  • Support Business Development: Support new business pursuits and business development through relationship building and building walkthroughs.
Requirements
  • Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Certified Energy Manager (CEM): Highly desired.
  • LEED Accreditation: Preferred.
  • Energy Analysis and Efficiency Calculations: Ability to perform energy analysis and efficiency calculations.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to interface seamlessly with all levels of management.
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, online software platforms, and data analysis applications.
  • Sustainability and Energy Principles: Advanced, in-depth knowledge of sustainability and energy principles and concepts, particularly related to the built environment.
  • Building Systems Knowledge: Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, building automation, and control systems across a variety of building types.
  • Travel and Commute: Able to commute to Reading at least 1 day a week and travel across EMEA as and when required.
