Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chemical Synthesis Specialist to join our team at Epoch Biodesign. The successful candidate will have a strong background in polymer science and organic chemistry, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

The role involves devising end-to-end processes for converting plastic waste into chemical building blocks, utilising in-depth knowledge of polymer science to design and optimise production processes, and leading troubleshooting initiatives related to enzymatic depolymerisation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with a background in Polymer Science.
  • At least 3 years proven industrial experience in a production or manufacturing environment, in roles directly related to polymer science, synthesis, or production.
  • Proficiency in utilizing analytical instruments and techniques specific to polymer science (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS).
