Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Trading Standards Officer to join our team. As a senior member of the Trading Standards Team, you will be responsible for enforcing Trading Standards functions with a focus on Food Standards and Metrology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce Trading Standards functions with a focus on Food Standards and Metrology
  • Manage the inspection programme for Food Standards
  • Hold the Diploma in Trading Standards (or a recognised equivalent) including Food Standards and Metrology
  • Qualification as a Lead Assessor
  • Significant post-qualification experience
  • Feed Hygiene experience is advantageous
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPPD)

Requirements:

  • Senior Trading Standards Officer with a commitment and passion for Trading Standards work
  • Flexible, creative, and supportive team player with excellent communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of the Trading Standards landscape and all relevant legislation
