Visionary PE Teacher Wanted for SEN Provision

Dunbar Education is searching for a visionary Physical Education Teacher to lead our SEN Provision in delivering exceptional educational experiences to students with SEMH needs.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative strategies to engage students with challenging behaviors and promote their social, emotional, and mental well-being.

You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and interventions that integrate physical education into the broader curriculum.

This is a full-time position requiring a strong commitment to supporting students with SEMH needs and staying current with the latest trends and best practices in physical education.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to engage students with challenging behaviors
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and interventions
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and carers, providing updates on student progress
  • Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in physical education through continuous professional development
Essential Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A minimum of 6 months teaching Physical Education experience
  • Prior experience working with SEMH pupils is highly beneficial
  • A full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • An up-to-date DBS on the Update Service
