Job Title: Data Engineering Senior Manager

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Senior Manager to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our Data and Analytics department, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data services and driving innovation in data products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain data and processing workflows to meet architectural standards
  • Design and implement robust, efficient, and reliable data pipelines
  • Lead projects in the implementation and use of new data and BI software tools and systems
  • Design, code, test, and document new or modified applications and programs using languages such as Python, PySpark, SQL, Java, and other industry-standard tools
  • Analyse user requirements and design functional specifications for front-end applications
  • Model a collaborative and influencing style of working, negotiating with others to achieve the best outcomes
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of integration and transformation within Cloud Data Warehouses (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, PySpark, Java
  • Experience of using data engineering expertise to architect the most appropriate solution design to suit a particular requirement or set of requirements
  • Experience of gathering requirements from key stakeholder groups and using influencing skills to manage expectations
