About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long Term Teachers Ltd. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students of all abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Your main duties will include:

  • Managing the classroom environment to ensure a safe and productive learning space
  • Running activities and interventions to support student learning and development
  • Leading 1:1 and small group sessions to support students with diverse learning needs
  • Supporting students with SEN, including those with physical, emotional, or learning disabilities
  • Reporting on student progress and liaising with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to inform teaching practices

About You

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about education and has experience working with children, particularly those with SEN. You should have:

  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong organizational skills to assist with lesson planning and classroom management
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum
