Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Linguistics Graduate to join our team as a Speech and Language Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our SENCO to provide 1:1 support to pupils with Speech and Language difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with Speech and Language difficulties
  • Work closely with the school SENCO to develop and deliver specialist 1:1 intervention
  • Design and deliver interactive sessions to assist pupils with understanding spoken language, speech sound pronunciation, attention, and listening skills
  • Work with pupils who have behavioural, emotional, social, and medical needs
  • Have the opportunity to work alongside a qualified Speech and Language Therapist one day a week

Requirements:

  • First Class Linguistics Graduate degree
  • Desirable: Graduates who specialise in Linguistics or Psychology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
