Financial Controller

We are seeking an experienced Accountancy Professional to join our team at Furniq UK LTD. As a key member of our finance function, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all day-to-day operations of our ecommerce business, ensuring seamless financial management and control.
- Work closely with our Director to identify and capitalize on innovative business opportunities, providing timely and accurate financial information to inform decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial reports, including weekly, monthly, and annual reports, to track results, trends, and financial forecasts.
- Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports, ensuring timely and accurate financial information.
- Review and improve the finance function regularly, suggesting updates and improvements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor spending and recommend cost-saving measures to increase profit margins.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported, maintaining the highest quality financial controls and reporting systems.
- Develop budgets and financial plans for the company, based on research and data reports, to drive business growth and success.
- Examine financial reports and data closely to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Deliver strategic and financial planning advice to the Director, providing timely and accurate financial information to inform decision-making.
- CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualified Accountant (candidates with relevant experience but not qualified will also be considered).
- Experience dealing with INVEST-NI and finance providers.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with analytical and methodical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to relay information clearly and concisely.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (365), Xero, Shopify accounts, and experience handling Payroll and HR functions.
- Ability to challenge the business and ensure right decisions are being made, with a results-driven approach and ability to meet deadlines.
