SEN Learning Support Assistant

Job Summary:
Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in a thriving specialist school in Colchester. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Moderate and Severe Learning Disabilities (MLD and SLD) in small groups or one-to-one settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with MLD and SLD in small groups or one-to-one settings to improve engagement, interaction, and attainment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development of individualized learning plans and strategies to support student progress.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices and school policies.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and training in special needs support or a related field.
- Experience working with students with MLD and SLD, or a willingness to learn and develop skills in this area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A positive and flexible attitude, with a commitment to providing high-quality support to students.
