Job Title: Senior Care Assistant - Nights

Location: Market Harborough, LE16 8NE

Employer: Oxendon House Care Home, owned by Jasmine Healthcare

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: 7pm-7am, (3 x shifts 1 week, 4 x shifts the next to include alternate weekends)

Salary: £14.09ph

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Oxendon House Care Home. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional care to residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Lead by example, promoting a positive and supportive team culture.
  • Conduct daily medication rounds, documenting accurately and ensuring medication audits are completed without errors.
  • Complete daily charts to a high standard, ensuring all team members are aware of resident needs.
  • Promote good practice in all aspects of care, challenging poor practice from colleagues.
  • Investigate complaints and concerns as directed by the Home Manager.

Requirements:

  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3).
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant in a residential or nursing home setting.
  • Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning.
  • Knowledge of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of signs of abuse, and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse.
  • Live within 30 minutes of the Home.
