Job Description: As a Consultant Psychiatrist in our Adult Psychiatry department, you will provide comprehensive assessment and treatment packages for patients with severe and enduring mental health problems. Your role will involve working closely with other teams and consultants to ensure coherent and high-quality mental health care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultant psychiatric input to a high functioning community EIS as part of a multi-disciplinary service.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that meet the needs of patients, based on NICE guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to provide high-quality mental health care, including junior doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals.
  • Contribute to the development of the service, attending local and divisional meetings.

Requirements:

  • CCT in General Adult Psychiatry or equivalent experience and qualifications.
  • Eligibility for inclusion on the GMC's Specialist Register.

Location: The post holder will be based at the Outpatients department Birch Hill Hospital Rochdale, with close links to ongoing research projects and opportunities for teaching and training.
