Concrete4Change is seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of new, sustainable, advanced concrete materials with carbon negative footprints. Our innovative approach combines organic and polymer chemistry, materials science, and leading-edge data analysis, including machine learning/AI approaches.
Key Features:- PhD training that builds upon your master's degree in chemistry or materials chemistry, with a focus on accelerated 'real-world' deployment of research results.
- Unique PhD training programme: 2 days in Concrete4Change, 3 days in the University of Nottingham/Nottingham Trent University per week.
- Involvement with the UK community dedicated to achieving 'green' concrete for a sustainable future.
- CO2 sequestration in concrete and production of high-value chemicals from CO2 are considered the only environmental solutions with a positive ROI.
The studentship will be available from October 2024 as a 4-year PhD with stipend at EPSRC standard rates starting at £18,622 per year, increasing annually with inflation. This position is only available for HOME students. We value diversity and are committed to equality of opportunity and flexible working patterns.
