Refuse Handler

A waste management operative is required to join the team at Chelmsford City Council. This is a temp to perm opportunity with excellent prospects for career growth.

As a waste collection operative, you will play a vital part in providing a high-quality waste collection service to residents in Chelmsford.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working proactively to remove waste and recycling from homes and businesses
• Maintaining a clean and efficient working environment
• Providing excellent customer service to residents and other stakeholders

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong work ethic, good communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. You will also be required to supply your own PPE (safety boots and a Hi-Vis vest). In return, you will receive an increase in hourly rate after 3 months of service, making it an attractive option for those looking for a long-term career in waste management.
