Shop Volunteer Opportunity

London, Greater London, United Kingdom SAVE THE CHILDREN-5 Full time

At Save the Children-5, we're passionate about empowering children to take control of their lives. As a Shop Volunteer, you'll play a vital role in helping us achieve this mission.

The estimated salary for this role is £10.50 per hour, reflecting the importance of your contribution.

About Our Shops

Our unique retail experience is a vibrant result of local generosity and volunteer passion. We sell womenswear, menswear, shoes, and bags to household goods, with our shops bringing in vital funds for Save the Children.

In our Barnes shop, volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. You might sort and price stock, engage with customers, ring items through the till, create stunning window displays, or keep our shop floor looking organised.

We welcome volunteers who can commit to a few hours a week, and many people volunteer either a morning or an afternoon each week. Your commitment will be discussed during the selection process.

Why Volunteer with Us?

In over 110 countries, we support children to transform their lives. By providing life-saving short-term help and pushing for deep-rooted social change, we help children take charge of their futures. We believe every child has the right to learn, eat well, and access medicine when they need it.

We're not just looking for volunteers with retail experience – we value team players who are open to learning and following our policies. You'll be an excellent representative for Save the Children, helping to make a real difference in your community.

What's Next?

After applying, we'll invite you for an informal trial shift. This is your chance to visit the shop, meet our existing volunteers, and get hands-on experience with various tasks. We'll also ask for references from someone who knows you well, but isn't related.
