Key Responsibilities

As a CAD Technician at SSR Personnel, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining CAD drawings and related documents for access control, CCTV, and intruder systems.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • CAD and BIM Process Understanding: Initial understanding of the CAD and BIM process is required for this role.
  • Design Management: Manage and support throughout the design process for access control, CCTV, and intruder systems.
  • Design Validation: Check and validate designs at their given checkpoints.
  • Design Management Systems: Use multiple design management systems, for example BIM360.
  • Project Management: Manage your diary in line with project deliverables, business needs, and client needs.
  • Specifications and Bill of Materials: Read, produce, and check specifications and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Key Documents: Read, produce, and check all key documents required for a design.
  • Security Systems Knowledge: Understand the key security systems involved in the business and design world to enable production of compliant designs.
  • Security Technologies: Keep up to date and relevant with Security technologies and regularly research new and changing technologies applicable to Security.
  • Site Visits: Visit site to increase and improve knowledge of real-life environments and installs vs designs on paper.
  • Lesson Identified Register: Capture, document, and maintain a lesson identified register, engaging the wider business to support focused delivery.
  • Design Team Coordination: Coordinate and deliver efficiently and effectively with the wider design team to meet stated deadlines.
  • Design Standards: Ensure the completed design meets the standards set out by the business and/or client.
  • Design Sync Calls: Attend all design sync calls externally and internally.
  • Certifications: Maintain any current or future certifications held.
  • Common Standards: Work closely with other business departments to maintain common standards and common deliverables.
