Salary: Hourly rate dependent on experience (8 hours guaranteed pay per day, Monday to Friday)

Job Overview:

Divalentinecalver Recruitment is seeking a reliable and experienced Container Driver to join our team on a self-employed basis. As a Container Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting containers to and from ports, warehouses, and other locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transportation: Safely transport containers to and from ports, warehouses, and other locations.
  • Delivery and Collection: Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time and in line with company standards.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with the transport office and customers.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
  • Experience: Experience in container driving is preferred, but not essential.
  • Training: Possession of port cards and relevant training is a plus, but not mandatory. Training can be provided.
  • Knowledge: Good knowledge of UK road networks and port operations.
  • Commitment: Strong commitment to safety and compliance with driving regulations.
