Copello Global is seeking an experienced Export Compliance Specialist to lead our export team in developing, implementing, and maintaining UK and international trade compliance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring our business operations are in line with all relevant regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely processing of UK export licensing applications, including OGELs, OIELs, and SIELs.
  • Interface with UK authorities on license applications/queries (HMRC/BIS/ECJU).
  • Act as a mentor/coach to new and inexperienced team members.
  • Overall accountability of internal policies and procedures relating to import/export compliance, ITAR, EAR, and Dual Use regulations.
  • Support internal and external parties with applications and management of US export authorizations, TAA's, MLA's, and licenses.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in UK import and export requirements for military products and a good basic understanding of ITAR and EAR regulations.
  • Ability to perform in a customer-focused business environment, cope with competing priorities without significant direction, and meet set objectives and targets as required by the business.
  • Competence with Excel.
  • Assisting in government audits into import and export activities.
  • Effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
