Job Title: Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant

Location: Colchester

Salary: £90-£110 per day

Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a highly experienced Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at a welcoming and friendly school in Colchester. As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting teachers in preparing lesson materials, recording and reporting pupil progress, and helping pupils stay focused during class hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and school equipment
  • Record and report pupil progress to teachers
  • Help pupils stay focused during class hours
  • Supervise group activities, sports events, and school outings
  • Help teachers manage student behaviour
  • Look after children who are unwell or upset

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate clearly with teachers and younger individuals
  • Ability to create an encouraging learning environment for pupils
  • Active listening skills
  • Understanding and sensitivity towards children
  • Excellent knowledge of lessons that pupils are required to learn in class
  • Ability to carry out tasks involving a computer or hand-device
