Job Role:

As the Director of IT Office at UN Habitat, you will be responsible for leading the ICT Department and implementing strategies to safeguard the Institute's interests. Your role will involve managing the Placement Service's ICT Infrastructure environment, providing strategic leadership, and ensuring the implementation of the ERP as per approved schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • ICT Infrastructure Management: Manage the ICT infrastructure environment, including servers, systems, and networks.
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership to the ICT Department and implement strategies to safeguard Institute interests.
  • ERP Implementation: Ensure the implementation of the ERP as per approved schedule and recommend effective solutions to the ERP system, processes, and customization in line with the Institute's strategic plan.
  • System Security: Advise on, implement, and maintain system security and user access controls with regard to ICT systems.
  • Staff Management: Manage, lead, and develop staff within the ICT Department.
  • Automation and Integration: Facilitate automation of all offices, including inter-office communication, and coordinate, schedule, and manage information systems to meet user requirements.
  • Supplier Management: Establish a strong working relationship with external suppliers to enhance productivity and manage costs.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in ICT, excellent leadership and management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
