This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a minimum of 5 years' experience estimating within the Structural Steel industry. The ideal candidate will be familiar with working on large-scale, multi-storey projects and possess strong commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annumThe successful candidate can expect a very good salary package, including attractive starting pay, a supportive and friendly working environment, and job security with a robust employer having a full order book.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and produce accurate, detailed, and timely tenders for Structural Steel and Cladding construction projects to secure profitable work orders.
- Collaborate with estimating management, production management, site management, and company directors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Carry out material take-offs, estimating all required labour, materials, and equipment costs, including MEWPs and Crane costs.
- Liaise internally and externally as required to ensure accurate pricing.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years estimating experience in the Structural Steel industry.
- High level of familiarity with the UK Steel industry.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Availability to work near/within commutable distance of the office – this is an office-based role.
- A very good salary/package negotiable depending on experience.
- A friendly and supportive working environment.
- Working with a robust, well-established, and successful company.
