Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at LJB Recruit. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in providing commercial support to our clients, including developing commercial strategies, managing tender documentation, and negotiating with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize profitability on projects
  • Manage tender documentation, contracts, and formal notices
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible deals
  • Monitor and control project costs, including sub-contractor agreements and variations
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site managers to ensure commercial and financial risks are minimized
  • Represent the project status at meetings and present commercial risk and cost-effective opportunities to managers
  • Input data and create applications into financial systems

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with a Drylining Contractor
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction industry contracts
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with financial systems and data input
