Senior Finance Business Partner

Our client, a leading utility company, is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. Based in Coventry, this role offers hybrid working with 3 days in the office per week. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive daily rate of £600-£650, with possible flexibility on rate depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement plans to outperform budget and business plan targets for PBIT, TOTEX, and ODIs.
  • Act as the Financial Director for Customer Solutions and a member of the CS SMT team, partnering with the CS Director.
  • Challenge departmental budgets and forecasts to ensure credibility and deliverability, identifying opportunities to improve performance and drive efficiencies.
  • Provide accurate forecasts, updated monthly, to provide insight to operational teams to course-correct and deliver their numbers for the year and AMP.
  • Provide timely analysis and insight on monthly, annual, and AMP performance against targets on outputs and finances.
  • Take personal accountability for challenging and driving action where performance is off track.
  • Identify key risks and opportunities to annual and AMP performance commitments and drive delivery teams to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Create and motivate a team who have the skills, experience, and drive to support operational teams, enabling critical, value-based decision-making, identifying and implementing efficiencies at pace, and improving financial controls.
