Automation Assistant

The Royal Shakespeare Company is seeking a skilled Automation Assistant to join their team for the upcoming production of My Neighbour Totoro at the Barbican Theatre, London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the safe and efficient running of rehearsals and performances, as well as the maintenance of automation systems to the highest standard.
  • Deal promptly with any automation issues that may arise during the production.
  • Support on publicity and access events as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a member of an automation team, with a strong background in theatre staging, stage engineering, rigging, slinging, and flying.
  • Practical understanding of automation systems and their maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
