Early Years Art Educator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Early Years Art Educator to lead our art programs in Camden. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with young children in an educational or creative setting, holding qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or Art Education. A graduate degree in Education or a Core Subject is also highly desirable.

This role involves designing and delivering engaging art activities, adapting to individual needs, and building strong relationships with parents. We value creativity, patience, and a positive attitude in our team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspiring Creativity: Deliver engaging art activities that promote imagination and self-expression.
  • Creating a Stimulating Environment: Design and set up inviting spaces filled with materials that promote artistic play and exploration.
  • Supporting Individual Expression: Adapt activities to each child's unique needs and developmental stage, helping them build confidence through art.
  • Connecting with Families: Build strong relationships with parents, sharing each child's creative progress and accomplishments.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years or Art Education; Graduate degree in Education or a Core Subject; GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths.
  • Experience: Hands-on experience working with young children in an educational or creative setting.
  • Skills & Qualities: Passion for early years art education, creativity, patience, and a positive attitude; Strong interpersonal skills and a sense of humour.
