Job Summary

The Highland Council is seeking a skilled and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team. As an effective member of our team, you will deliver a high-quality early learning and childcare service that meets the needs of young children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a flexible and responsive service to children and families.
  • Develop and implement engaging learning programs that promote children's cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and community partners to ensure a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote best practice in early childhood education and care.

Requirements

  • Hold a recognized qualification in Childcare and Education (e.g., HNC, NNEB, SVQ 3) or be willing to work towards one.
  • Be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or agree to register as a practitioner.
  • Have experience working with young children and their families, preferably in an early years setting.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
