Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our client, a successful and well-respected multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Yorkshire. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Building Surveyor and will be responsible for leading a team of Building Surveyors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership role overseeing a team of Building Surveyors
  • Engaging in the delivery of Building Surveying services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency
  • Undertaking a full range of project and professional duties working for both private and public sector clients
  • Ensuring reported data is accurate and kept up to date
  • Assisting with procurement and management of sub-contractors
  • Ensuring compliance with all aspects of the contract, liaising with the project teams on project status
  • Guaranteeing the financial success and quality delivery of construction projects through effective cost management, procurement, contract administration, risk management, and value engineering
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Building Surveyor
  • Confident and concise communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Full and detailed knowledge/understanding of both traditional and modern construction techniques
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation and technical standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent client management and presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of building regulations and construction contracts
  • Excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ideally Chartered Status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or working towards
  • Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle with business insurance
