Cyber Security Degree Apprentice

Becoming a Cyber Security Degree Apprentice at BAE Systems is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in cybersecurity while gaining valuable work experience. This 4-year scheme combines academic study with real-world work experience, allowing you to apply theoretical knowledge to practical problems.

You will learn how to maintain security systems, analyse vulnerabilities, monitor security performance tools, implement technical security infrastructures, and complete cyber risk assessments. This role involves working on real projects, enhancing your skills necessary for a successful career in cybersecurity.

This apprenticeship includes periods of time at University, where you will acquire an Honours Degree in Cyber Security, alongside time working within the Shared Services Enterprise IT team. You will gain valuable experience supporting BAE Systems sectors in the UK and abroad, making a significant contribution to the company's success.

Upon completion, you will be awarded a Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Level 6 qualification and receive a competitive salary of £28,000 - £38,000 per annum.

Qualification Requirements
  • 5 GCSEs at A*-C or 9-4 (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
  • A minimum of 96 UCAS Tariff Points (240-point old system), including Maths AND a Business related subject, or equivalent (excluding UCAS points gained at AS level)
