About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team at Coventry Building Society. As a Senior Legal Counsel - Product Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice on a range of matters across the Society, including product-related legal requirements, property-related legal requirements, and non-standard litigation/disputes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on product-related legal requirements, including mortgage and savings products, lending and savings activities.
  • Assist the business in managing risk, whether legal, reputational, or compliance-related.
  • Support the Society's goal and vision on performance and purpose.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams in the Legal Function and wider Society.
  • Ensure the Society remains compliant with legal and regulatory requirements in your area.

About You

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel who has a strong background in product-related legal requirements, property-related legal requirements, and non-standard litigation/disputes. You will have excellent communication and advisory skills, with the ability to build successful working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Requirements
