Job Description

We are seeking an experienced claims professional to join our Facultative Reinsurance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring swift response and settlement of Excess of Loss Reinsurance claims, associated with Reinstatement Premiums and Proportional Treaty Reinsurance accounts.

You will also provide advice to clients where required in respect of claims and/or proportional treaty adjustments. Your role will involve timely processing of all claims documents, answering enquires relating to claims processing, and ensuring secure, efficient and auditable handling of client monies.

In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating in-house systems, developing and maintaining strong client and market relationships, and performing quality control checks on all documentation.

You will adhere to and meet fully the expectations of Miller, as set out in its policies and procedures, training material, and embedded in its systems and controls. This includes complying with external rules and requirements imposed on individuals performing their role at Miller, such as Lloyd's byelaws and FCA rules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure swift response and settlement of Excess of Loss Reinsurance claims;
  • Provide advice to clients in respect of claims and/or proportional treaty adjustments;
  • Timely process all claims documents and answer enquires relating to claims processing;
  • Sure, efficient and auditable handling of client monies;
  • Maintain and update in-house systems;
  • Develop and maintain strong client and market relationships;
  • Perform quality control checks on all documentation;
  • Comply with external rules and requirements imposed on individuals performing their role at Miller.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in claims management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will also have a good understanding of reinsurance principles and practices.

A competitive salary range is £50,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including contributory pension scheme, life assurance, and private medical insurance.
