Job Title:

Consultant in Medical Oncology with a focus on Melanoma

Job Summary:

This is a replacement post following retirement to ensure consultant input into the medical oncology service for melanoma and Acute Oncology.

Main Duties:
  • Provide and co-ordinate the Medical Oncology management of patients with melanoma
  • Support and oversee the care of inpatients under the care of the Oncology team
  • Lead the Ambulatory Oncology Unit and manage consultant availability and review
  • Provide advice on medical oncology aspects of treatment and care for colleagues in other specialities

Person Specification:
  • Medical degree
  • Full registration and license to practice with General Medical Council
  • Has CC(S)T and on the Special Register for Medical Oncology
  • Higher professional qualification (eg. MRCP)

With a strong focus on leadership and teaching, we are looking for an experienced Consultant in Medical Oncology to join our team and contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of excellent melanoma and Acute Oncology services.
