Job Title: Assistant Director

CBRE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our medium-sized premises in the city centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Regional Facilities Manager in managing day-to-day operations, including health and safety, environmental, and company procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to budgetary costs and customer service standards.
  • Manage onsite personnel and maintain a high standard of building maintenance and services.
  • Assist with drafting, controlling, and reporting service charge budgets and expenditures.
  • Conduct regular inspection audits and take remedial action as required.
  • Work with the Regional Facilities Manager and stakeholders to develop and implement maintenance and repair programs.
  • Participate in tenant meetings and ensure prompt issue resolution.
  • Liaise with local authorities and manage major work programs with specialist consultants.
  • Produce management reports and oversee contractor work to ensure required standards are achieved.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a facilities environment in a supervisory or management role.
  • Knowledge of technical aspects of premises management.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a pressurized environment with excellent organizational and planning skills.
